I'm listening to Van Tham today at the Covid inquiry and he is implying, once again, that the vaccine previous transmission, and the creepy sycophantic QC is nodding and prompting him!

I appreciate clarifying definitions of the vaccination lexicon.

I always worked on the premise of viral load as one of the determinants whether a person got ill after being in contact with an infectious agent.

Then on the other side of the coin was the strength of a person’s immune system.

If these two principles had been used in Public Health advice the message would have been much simpler and better.

If unwell stay at home.

Avoid crowded spaces.

And make sure your immune system is as good as it can be (diet, exercise).

What to make of Geert Vandenbossche’s claims that mass vaccination in a pandemic situation is a folly and increases the development rate of mutations. Not sure what to make of that.

I like your old school pre-2020 approach to Public Health.

I think what was underappreciated was the impact that host immunity has on viral load. Eg obesity leading to impaired immunity, increased viral load, delayed viral elimination and increased viral mutation alongside more severe symptoms. Or frail elderly people with prolonged infections. There was a photo montage somewhere of morbidly obese health ministers, some of whom were pushing the 'beware the unvaccinated' line. This was just one of a long list of the ironies of the last few years.

My interpretation of VDB is that he warned of the folly of mass vaccination with 'leaky' vaccines in a pandemic situation. Putting population-level immune pressure on the spike protein of a highly mutable virus with a vaccine that doesn't prevent infection or transmission then continually re-boosting antibody production, to further increase that immune pressure would logically increase viral evolution and resistance to those same vaccines.
